James W. Doster
President & CEO

Jim DosterJim is a graduate of Bob Jones University and a CPA, State of Georgia. Upon graduation, he worked as an accountant for Arthur Andersen & Company. In 1989, Jim joined GE Capital as a National Account Manager and was responsible for generating and maintaining vendor relationships in the office equipment and computer industries. Four years later, Jim joined Lease Plan USA (a subsidiary of ABN AMRO) as a Vice President and successfully closed over $45 million in middle market transactions over the next three years.

Jim was then chosen to launch Synovus Leasing Company, a new leasing subsidiary of Synovus Financial Corp. The company achieved profitability in the second year of operation and exceeded all volume, revenue and net income goals, generating $23mm, $36mm and $47mm of funded lease volume in the first three years of operation.
